Terms and Conditions

By accessing, downloading, or using Tytld (including our web and mobile applications), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using our services.

These terms govern your use of Tytld, which provides book tracking, library organization, and reading logs.

Your statutory consumer rights, including guarantees and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law, are preserved in full. Any disclaimers, limitations, or exclusions of liability in these terms apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and do not exclude or restrict non-excludable statutory rights.

To use Tytld, you must meet the minimum legal age of eligibility or have explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian. The age threshold of eligibility is qualified subject to applicable local regulations.

Framed conditionally, when creating an account, you are responsible for:

• Providing accurate registration details.
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your credentials.
• Immediately notifying support if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

Tytld reserves the right to limit account creation or suspend accounts that disrupt the platform, violate these terms, or engage in prohibited conduct.

Tytld is offered under free Basic and optional Premium tiers:

• Basic Tier: Includes core tracking capabilities, library indexing, and manual logs.
• Premium Tier: Grants access to advanced statistics, custom shelves, goals, and premium share layouts when actively offered.

Availability of Offers: The availability of premium subscription offers, pricing options, payment models, and specific purchase screens varies by platform, region, and build. Server-side RevenueCat reconciliation is used to verify and reconcile entitlements, but this reconciliation does not guarantee that an in-client purchase flow or payment screen is available in your specific application build. There is no client-side Purchases SDK compiled into the application.

Store Billing: Any billing, recurring payments, renewals, cancellations, or refund processing for subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store is handled conditionally by Apple or Google under their respective terms and policies. Tytld does not assert always-on prices or trials in these terms.

Subscription Cancellation: Cancelling a subscription stops the next renewal. Your premium access remains open until the paid billing cycle concludes. When premium access ends, your existing data remains intact but advanced features transition to read-only status.

You retain ownership of all books, ratings, reviews, reading dates, private notes, and journal entries that you upload or record on Tytld.

To provide our services, you grant Tytld a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, process, replicate, transmit, and display your content to you, and (where you have explicitly selected a public profile) to display your public reviews and shelves to other readers.

This license is strictly limited to the operational requirements of running and syncing your book-tracking account. We do not use your personal journal entries, notes, or reading data for marketing, nor do we sell your data to any third party.

You agree to use Tytld responsibly and lawfully. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Creating fake or automated accounts.
• Posting abusive, hateful, defamatory, or inappropriate content in public reviews or comments.
• Scraping, harvesting, or systematically extracting book metadata or other database records using automated scripts, bots, or crawlers.
• Attempting to bypass security controls, RLS constraints, or API boundaries.
• Using Tytld to distribute spam, links, or unauthorized advertisements.

The Tytld logo, custom design system, warm visual theme, and source code are the intellectual property of Michael Jones, operating under the registered Australian business name Tytld, and are protected by copyright and branding laws.

Book metadata, cover images, and external catalog URLs are retrieved dynamically from open and public repositories (such as Open Library, Google Books, and Internet Archive) and are provided purely 'as-is'. We do not claim ownership of book metadata or catalog content, and cannot guarantee its ongoing availability or accuracy.

Tytld is provided to you 'as-is' and 'as-available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, other than those non-excludable guarantees required under the Australian Consumer Law.

We do not warrant that:

• The service will be completely uninterrupted or error-free.
• Catalog metadata and search results will be 100% accurate or complete.
• Your local drafts or in-memory state will be preserved in the event of an app force-close or device crash.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law, our total liability for any claims arising under these terms is limited to providing the services again, or paying the cost of having the services supplied again, or a refund of any fees paid to us to use the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we find that you have violated these Terms and Conditions or engaged in conduct that harms our platform or other readers.

Account deletion is available for signed-in users through our in-app account flow. On the web, account deletion is blocked if an active, non-cancelled premium subscription or entitlement is detected, whereas the mobile application currently triggers the operation directly. Deleting your Tytld account does not automatically cancel store-billed subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google; these must be cancelled separately in your store settings to prevent further charges.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted directly to this page, and the 'Last updated' date and version identifier will be updated accordingly.

Your continued use of Tytld following the publication of revised terms constitutes your acceptance of those terms.

Tytld is provided by Michael Jones, operating under the registered Australian business name Tytld, based in Australia. These terms do not name a separate company, corporation, Pty Ltd, or other corporate legal entity, a postal or business address, or an exclusive legal venue. Your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law remain available where that law applies.
